Primary Duties and Professional Responsibilities
- Performs consultations clinical assessments.

- Maintain all necessary certifications and trainings.

As an integral member of the TNLH team, the Residential/Shelter Counselor provides social services to homeless or at risk youth by interacting and assisting youth with day to day functions and activities. Residential/Shelter Counselor should be a caring team player who is able to manage boundaries. The Northern Lighthouse is a twenty-four hour operation, so counselors will need to have a flexible schedule.

As an integral member of the TNLH team, the Residential counselor participate in the evaluation, treatment and basic care of the residence. The counselor works with the house manager, other counselor, and other mental health professionals to assess a child’s skills in a variety of development areas. As an integral part of The Northern Lighthouse team, our Administrative Assistant will provide support services to children and families in an office atmosphere. Job duties include answering phones, greeting clients, scheduling appointments, printing, scanning and insurance verification. This individual will work with all staff and clients as needed, in the overall operations of The Northern Lighthouse Inc.
